Welcome to the Auction of Promises

You may or may not be aware that we will be getting a new Community Centre in Hardwick. We have 1.3 million already but due to rising costs, we have a significant shortfall. So, we are in the process of raising funds to achieve this building, which we can all use.

Consequently, we are hoping to raise money from this Auction of Promises. So please, put the date in your diary - Friday 28th April - and come along to support us. Please bring friends and family with you to make it an enjoyable occasion and make money for our new Community Centre at the same time. Tickets are available from Anne Jones at a cost of £3 each.

I would like to express my appreciation to all who have donated so generously towards this Auction, whether you are an individual or a local business. Special thanks must go to Victoire Press who have printed catalogues free of charge for us. I urge you to support these local businesses which have supported us.

Also, my thanks go to the TV personality, David Palmer, who is very experienced at this sort of event and has very kindly agreed to be our auctioneer for the evening. You may have seen him on programmes such as 'Flog It!', 'Cash in the Attic' and 'Bargain Hunt'. He's the auctioneer who wears the multi-coloured waistcoats!

Those unable to attend the auction but wishing to purchase any of the items can still do so by completing a 'Sealed Bid' form below and returning it to me no later than Wednesday 26th April at 23 Egremont Road or emailing me, jeffandanne23@gmail.com.

All bids (with the exception of sealed bids) must be paid for on the night, either with cash, cheque or credit card.

It only remains for me to thank you for taking the time to read through the lots - hopefully you will find something to tempt you and I look forward to seeing many of you on the night.

Anne Jones
